13th engaged Min by surprise attacked and crippled a large amount of Min players. The Min players in question were amongst the biggest in Min at the time, with nearly all of Mins biggest fleets taken out in an almost catastrophic hit, there was a dispute about the way in which 13th declared the war as they broke away from the norm and only declared via PM and even then it was a very short time before the hits.

This was not the only controversy that escaped at the start of the war, Min were still at the time covered by a MDP between themselves and Corm after a very aggressive war fought between the two (With NPO on Min’s side) not so long before. Corm however cited Min’s reluctance to call in their main Blood pact and ally NPO into the fray as reason enough to keep themselves out of the fight as well, Min OFC had its own reason for not calling in NPO. In Min’s opinion these hits were made with the sole intent of getting Min to call in NPO so that 13th could take a pop at them too, but knowing that NPO were in the same position as themselves and still mainly in the rebuilding phase they decided to take the war upon themselves rather then put NPO in a vulnerable position. This left Min facing 800mil more fleet and 10mil Average fleet deficit, something they preferred to calling in NPO.

They then moved en masse from galaxy to galaxy, cleansing each one of any appreciable Min fleet while trying to keep an eye on Min's "blob". Min in return did its best to hit all the bases with reasonable distance of its blob, sometimes dismissing profit just too try and make a point.

Weeks and weeks into the war, 13th had lost track of Min's main fleet but found it in A67, they had decided it was time to go after their "blob" and bring the war to a decisive end. Unfortunately, before 13th could bring their fleets to bear, Min proceeded to move their blob to parts unknown. An intensive search for the location of the new site for their blob ensued with every 13th member, and any friend they could call upon searching the Alpha universe. After some time, the new location was located in A52 with many millions of fleet incoming, most of which not arriving for several more days.

Unfortunately for the 13th, they had no bases in the galaxy which of course was the main reasoning behind Mins command choosing it as a location to move the blob to. They persuaded several players from another guild to aide them with their jump-gates by joining them for a potentially historic operation. The 13th decided to split their forces with approximately 800 million in fleet heading to A52 from A67 via a gate in A51. This fleet was comprised of Heavy Cruisers and smaller since speed was important. It was decided that a fleet primarily comprised of over 100 Levis with supporting ships would head to Min's jump-gate of origin in A67 to destroy any returning fleet.

Never in the history of AE had a "blob" been caught in transit with the opposing guild having enough fleet on either end to virtually destroy it.

The 13th fleets headed to A52 arrived after approximately 100 million in Min fleet had landed, with another 550 million in transit. The attack began by taking the A52 gate, and destroying much of the fleet there. In the meantime, the gate in A67 was taken, with a smaller contingent of Min fleet being destroyed there. It was immediately apparent to Min that they were trapped, and that the only way to keep from being virtually destroyed was to surrender. A unique demand of the 13th's was that they would be allowed to kill any fleet that landed at the gate in A52, but that any fleet recalled to the gate in A67, or any fleet anywhere else would be allowed to live. As a result, only 200 million of their mobile fleet was destroyed. 13th cited the fact that they did not want to destroy any guild utterly, and that such action was bad for the server.

Min surrendered shortly after, but not before some forum antics by Bruskie.
