Empire menu
From Astro Empires Wiki
The Empire menu is one of the most used parts of the Astro Empires interface. Large amounts of information are stored in the nine sub-pages of Empire. Here we will look through them and what each of them offers you.

Events
The events screen is designed to allow you keep an eye on all your empires construction easily. It lists all your Bases along with their Construction, Production and Research queues. Each bases Economy, Location and whether it is occupied or not is also listed on this screen.
Finally notes which are added to the base will appear below the bases name on the events screen.
Capacities
The Capacities screen is to give you a nice overview of your empires abilities. Bases total in Construction, Production, Research and Economy are listed and tallied to allow you easy access to totals. Commanders for each base are also listed here, and this is the only screen which will give you a clear view of all your bases and what Astro they have been constructed on.

Economy
The economy screen is designed to allow you to have a clear overview all of your income. Bases are listed allowing you to see their incomes if they are occupied or not and how long since the last pillage took place at the base.
Below this is a listing of all bases that you occupy and details of how long since they were last pillaged and a pillage button if pillage is available. Finally there is a listing of trade income, base income and occupations income which is tallied into your total income.
Trade
The trade page is here to offer an overview of your empires trading. The first section takes this by base and shows how many Trade Routes you have per base and how many are filled along with the bases economy.
The second section lists all of your trade routes on a single screen. Each route has listed each location to route goes to and from. The distance, economy of both bases, how much you make from it and whether the route has been activated or not.
The final box shows the trade formula and how many unique players you trade with.
Structures
The structures page offers a clear overview of all of the structures across all of your bases. Structures and bases are laid out on a table which allows you to easily reference which structures you have were and to what level.
Some have complained that the structures page is hard to read due to its layout but there are currently no plans to redesign the page.

Fleets
The fleets screen is set up in a similar way to the structures screen. It allows you an overview of all of your fleets across the universe, where they are and what ships they are made up of. This is a very useful for locating lost ships and coordinating your battlefleets.
There has been some confusion over what the ship abbreviations relate to so here is a quick reference table.

Units
The units page is made up of two sections. The first is the dashboard. This top section confirms your complete fleet strength, the number of fleets you can create. It also lists all the factors that affect the number of fleets you can have. These being the number of bases you have, the number you have occupied and the level of your computer tech.
Below this is the main part of the page. It lists all types of ships and how many of them you have. In addition it lists the cost (in credits) for each ship type as well as the Power, armour, speed and shields once your technology bonus has been added. No other page gives such a clear breakdown.
Below this a similar table lists all the defences you have in a breakdown the same as the units table.
Technologies
The technologies page does exactly what it says on the tin. It lists each technology type which can be researched and lets you know how many levels have been researched of that tech. Cost of the next level along with what techs are currently open to you are also listed on this useful screen. Along with this it lets you know the bonus in % given for that tech.
At the base of the page you will also find a listing of your research planets and the level of research lab on each planet. This is the easiest place to select which of your planets have your research facilities if you are too lazy to remember which have them like me.
Scanners
Scanners are a feature for upgraded players which let them see all fleet movements in all regions where they have bases. Instead of having to check all astros in your region manually you can see which fleets are incoming across the territory.
Ships are not listed on the scanners immediately. They appear the value of the fleet in seconds before they land. For example a corvette which is 20 credits in fleet will appear 20 seconds before it lands. A battleship 2000 (33 minutes) before landing. This allows players to come in below the scanners with smaller fleets.
Members of your guilds ships appear on the scanners as soon as they are sent.
