The United Delta Federation, UDF, or the Delta Federation, is a federal republic of united players working together to ensure peace and prosperity amongst each other. Lead by the Commander-in-Chief, the guild is governed by the Federal Assembly which is headed by Prime Minister.

It is the successor state to the Free Alliance of Independent Systems.

Government

The United Delta Federation, as stated by its Constitution, is governed by the Federal Assembly, overseen by the Prime Minister, and lead by the Commander-in-Chief.

Commander-in-Chief

Is the head of the United Delta Federation, the leader of the guild. Directly responsible for guild affairs.

Prime Minister

Is in charge of the Federal Assembly. Essentially second-in-command and serves as representative for the guild. Also responsible for receiving and exporting open trade routes.

Economic Adviser

Is in charge of overseeing the economic development of the guild. Discloses necessary intel to the Prime Minister.

Defense Adviser

Is in charge of overseeing the development of base defenses for each member. Discloses necessary intel to the Prime Minister.

Federal Assembly

The Federal Assembly is the legislative body of the United Delta Federation, having final decision-making authority over most policies that shall have any effect on all members within the guild.


History

On June 7, 2009, the CDF was ratified by the leaders of the Free Alliance of Independent Systems and ΩDESTRUCTIONΩ, thus merging to become the United Delta Federation.

On June 9, 2009, the Five Figures were amended to the CDF.

By July, most of the members of ΩDESTRUCTIONΩ that had joined left with their former leader after he was bribed by the leader of SEALs to join that guild.

On August 3, 2009, Admiral Venture resigned from his post as guild master and then promptly left the United Delta Federation, having announced his intentions to seek new endeavors having believed he'd done his best in contributing to the formation of a firm and cohesive guild.

Guild Charter

The Constitution of the United Delta Federation, or the Constitution of the Delta Federation (CDF), is the founding document of the guild and sets forth the specific limited powers of each level of the guild governmental system.


CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED DELTA FEDERATION

We The Players, of the Delta galaxies, in order to create a more harmonious guild, hereby establish peace, insure prosperity, provide for mutual defense, promote the general education, and secure the sovereignty and rights of every member in this union, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United Delta Federation on this Seventh day of June in the year Two-thousand and Nine.


ARTICLE 1

Section 1. All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Federal Assembly of the United Delta Federation, which shall consist of all Senators in this union, and headed by the Prime Minister.

Section 2. The Federal Assembly shall convene at least once every month, and such meeting shall be on the first or last day, to discuss the following matters concerning the peace and prosperity of every member in this union;

To share intelligence on newly discovered astros;

To discuss and promote trade with domestic and foreign systems;

To provide for the invitation and recruitment of new members to this union;

To discuss and oversee the support of all members in times of war;

To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning raids and captures;

To raise and gather fleets in collective defense;

To discuss intelligence of one or more invading force;

To define and punish piracy committed upon trade routes;

To provide for the general education of all members;

To discuss and vote on all pacts and treaties with foreign unions and alliances.

Section 3. Every member shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities concerning their rights and freedom within this union.


ARTICLE 2

Section 1. The executive powers shall be vested in the guild master of the United Delta Federation; to be the Commander-in-Chief of all military forces, and shall have full authority over domestic and foreign affairs.

Section 2. The office of Prime Minister shall be second-in-command, to be responsible for maintaining trade and diplomacy, especially in the absence of the Commander-in-Chief, and shall take the mantle thereof should the position become vacant.

Section 3. The office of Economic Adviser shall be vested with the responsibility of overseeing the development of the guild economy by advising members how best to improve their individual economies.

Section 4. The office of Defense Adviser shall be vested with the responsibility of overseeing the development of the guild fleet, and advising members how to best improve and defend their bases from attack and profiteering.


ARTICLE 3

Section 1. Full faith and trust shall be given to each member to retain their sovereign right to support all endeavors of exploration, defense, trade and peace within this union between foreign systems, unions or alliances.

Section 2. No member may enter into any treaty or pact with foreign systems, unions or alliances, specifically to be detrimental to the peace and prosperity of any squad or member within this union.


ARTICLE 4

Section 1. The Federal Assembly, whenever it is proposed, shall convene to vote on the adoption of amendments to this Constitution, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by two-thirds of the Federal Assembly; and that no member, without their explicit consent, shall be deprived of their equal suffrage in this union.

Section 2. All contracts and engagements entered into, prior to the adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United Delta Federation, as before its adoption.

ARTICLE 5

This Constitution and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United Delta Federation, shall be the supreme law of all members of this union.
